5-Part Voice-Lead Chord Progression Generator

Generate fully automatic progressions of 6, 8, 10 and 12 chords long. Download the progressions as a music xml. Open the music xml in your favorite notation program. The progressions come with a classical analysis of the harmony.

All progressions are in C major or C minor. You can transpose the progressions to the key of your choice in your notation program. If you do not have a notation program you can download MuseScore for free: https://musescore.org/nl/download

MuseScore is available for Windows, macOS and Linux. You can export the music xml to midi. Even if you can't read notes, you can work with midi in any music production program. One example is Reaper. Free download: https://www.reaper.fm/download.php

How to generate a chord progression:

Choose the settings you prefer, major or minor, number of chords and instruments. Then click or tap 'Generate'. The result is a classical analysis of the progression in Roman numerals.

You can generate a new progression until you like the result. Listen to the progression by clicking or tapping one of three playing styles: standard, rhythm or broken.

The FIRST time you choose a certain instrument and style, the download of the wave will take some time. With a new progression, the sound will be almost instantaneous.
